Handcrafted from elmwood and finished in vibrant vermilion lacquer, it was originally used to carry wedding gifts, festive foods, or dowry offerings during important family celebrations. The carved overhead handle is richly highlighted with gilt detailing, featuring auspicious floral motifs and elegant phoenix-head terminals that symbolize joy, harmony, and prosperity. Its distinctive coopered body is fitted with a traditional two-piece split lid, opening to a spacious hand-finished interior.
