Available is a genuine 19th-century treen wooden bowl, likely of Baltic or Russian origin, hand-turned and shaped with the quiet irregularity of early lathe work. Its deep, rich patina reflects more than a century of use, softened by time and handling. Two incised horizontal bands encircle the rim, accented with remnants of original red pigment, evoking the decorative vocabulary of Khokhloma-style folk wares. The surface reveals natural grain variation and subtle tool marks, while a single vertical shrinkage crack speaks to its age and authenticity. A beautifully preserved example of functional vernacular kitchenware elevated by time.
