This group of jade pots and jars carry a special story. From water pitchers to spice containers, these items were essential in the Chinese home.
don't simply fill a room
We’ve travelled the globe and collected incredible pieces that span continents and reach into culture and history; many of which, despite their beauty and historical or cultural significance, were rescued from being destroyed or lost to time.
Wood wheels replaced by rubber.
Beautiful bronze pots substituted for aluminum.
Village spirit doors deemed culturally insignificant.
Now we’re offering them to you so that you can fill the spaces where you live and work with decor that inspires beauty and instills wonder.
Meet the World Dekor
When dreaming of retirement some people plan to travel, others hope to stay still, some people invest in stocks, and others spend their savings. But for Clayton and Deb Korver, the visionary minds behind World Dekor …
… their dream was to share the joy and beauty of world travel and culture by sharing art, artifacts, and antiques from around the globe.
As Clayton travelled the world as a sales representative for his business, he refused to visit only the polished and presentable areas of the globe – instead – he wanted to see the raw and the honest parts of each country he visited. There he would explore open air markets, walk through rural villages, and experience the vitality of other cultures. He saw again and again the beautiful and the unique – however – many artifacts of the people he met and the places he visited were being replaced and tossed to the wayside.
He couldn’t let art and beauty be lost to time and cultural erosion, so he purchased what could be saved and is now restoring items to their original beauty so that the rest of the world can share in the global cultural vitality to which he was once witness.
